Having a head-start on our summer garden at the start of spring this year (a DIY poly tunnel from thrifted materials protected us from frost).
The whole family learning new gardening skills together - and being able to pass them onto a "new to NZ" family keen to learn about the Kiwi gardening thing.
The strengthening of connections and skills with new gardening friends through our local community garden (seed potatoes from Koanga gardens getting ready for our allotment).spring salads (oh my goodness i am SO jealous of her garden right now!) from Sharon!
