i bought some seedlings a while back.. i should know better!
anyway i've finally got them planted...
red russian kale & mizuna in my mesculun salad trough...
strawberries in the strawberry trough (genius huh?)
lexi's goliath snow peas & her sunflower pressie from lil' miss Pearl..
compared with my snow peas & sunflowers lovingly pricked out into their macrocarpa tray..
(so much smaller.. no fair! and the rest of the seeds i planted either got turned into sprout crispies when i forgot to water them one day, or got toddlerised...)
and the allium patch out the back..
garlic in the back corner, leeks in the trench on the right, red brunswick onions on the left, and multiplying onions in clumps at the front.. and with a few tiny heartsease seedlings & sad looking caledulas surrounding them...
does anyone know what this is? it is growing as a weed in our garden, and when i brought some inside for lexi paul complained that it stunk like onion.. so is it onion weed?!
and does anyone know about loquats? we have a couple of young trees along our fence line, but they haven't fruited ever, am i supposed to prune them right back at some point or something??
i hope you southern hemisphereites are starting off all of your gardens too! ;-)

Onion Weed
The garden stuff looks great. I'm going to get onto mine tonight (just a tad late) :)
oo ta for that! what a good guess rofl..
now to harass sandra about how you eat it! :)
We've got heaps here too, didn't know it was a weed! It's sure a pretty flower for such a manky name ;)
When I first arrived in the Southern hemisphere at the grand old age of 4, I called it "white bluebells" and picked bunches for my Mum, which she lovingly put in a vase. Never the best sense of smell me. :)
aww that is so sweet! lol..
