home sweet home..

for my knitting stuff anyway!!

i spent ALL DAY saturday sewing up this-
to hold my knitpicks interchangeable needles & assorted bits n bobs :-)

and cos i know you are just *dying* for further information, here you go-
it's quite small, as i hoped, roughly the size of those A5 diaries.. it's intended to fold in three like a wallet, but can be rolled up too if i want.

It's a stretchy, stripy black *stuff* on the outside, black cord on the inside with quilting fabric & thick ribbon making up the pockets etc & pink wool felt for my tapestry needles. The stitch markers (made by casper & neak!) are hanging off a sparkly kilt pin that i received in a yarn swap from the lovely erin, that i've sewn on too. I'm not 100% thrilled with how it has turned out, but it is entirely functional & was completely from stash, so i'm pretty happy nonetheless! :-D

however, i'm not keen on all day sewing projects, and absolutely not with fiddly ones (i'm a nice-long-straight-lines-on-the-overlocker kinda gal), so i am never ever ever ever doing anything like this EVER AGAIN. lol...

I turned out very nice. I really like the diagram of what goes where. It looks very professional!

lol viv i was thinking of you when i took the photos, hoping you couldn't see too closely! *whispers* the outside fabric turned out all wonky, plus i stitch'n'turned it, which is a bit of a no-no isn't it?! lol...

Aw gorgy! I LOVE the way you've dealt with the needle cables, they're my biggest PITA at the moment.

I suppose there's no way I can twist your arm into doing one for me then, ay.... lol.
