yes, i am that kind of crazy..

just to see if it was possible..
knitting 4 socks at once, on one needle & with only 2 balls of wool...

yeah, so all the sensible people say to use two balls of wool when knitting two things at once, to minimise the tangling.. but i'm too silly for that, so i knit one sock from the inside & one from the outside of a single ball.. and then multiply the silliness by adding two more socks with their high-probability-of-tangling-single-ball....

but i haven't got them tangled yet! ;-p

i must say though.. there is absolutely no sensible reason i can see to want to knit four (or more!) socks at once.. two is very sensible because it means you have a perfectly identical pair, and they are finished at the same time, so no 2nd-sock-syndrome... but doing four at a time is just, well, silly really!

it does mean however that it is possible to magic loop more than two things at once (i wasn't sure if you could practically) but i really can't think of anything (apart from maybe toys or decorations?!) that you would want to..?! lol..

but i had to know if i could! ;-)
